NEW ARTWORK AVAILABLE FROM ABSTRACT PAINTER JIM FUESS
Fluid Movement and Clear Colors Meet the Whimsey of Worms, Balloons and more...

Artist Jim Fuess paints with liquid acrylics on canvas. Fuess works with clear bright color, usually on a white ground.  Most of his new works are in this well established, popular style, each with it's own spark of individuality.  There are, however, some surprises among the new paintings.   You will be able to view some of these new works in person  in April at the Watchung Art Center in Watchung, New Jersey where Jim Fuess will participate in an exhibition with The New Art Group.   Fuess  is  a founding member of the New Art Group.  We will provide details on this show closer to the opening date.

Jim Fuess's new WORM WARS series is a  slight departure from the artist's usual  white ground style.  It's battling worms writhe across  dark canvases as if in cosmic combat. The WORM WARS end with two worms forever forged into an endless circle.

BALLOONS is another new series.  A fleet of multi-colored balloons fly across the white sky of each canvas.  My favorite is BALLOONS SECRET where all the disparate balloons float together to form a bouquet.

Jim Fuess's new Abstract Paintings are fun too.  BENT looks like a lovely tulip to me...but maybe that's the hints of spring I've been seeing outside lately.  The first notion that came to mind when I saw JOY was just that...a celebration of primary colors.

And, his painting FALL is a trick of the eye.  It seems you are viewing a landscape painted on an un-stretched canvas in the process of being unrolled.

If you haven't yet seen Jim Fuess's  2010 abstracts,  you should take a look at these as well.   ABSTRACT ORANGE & PURPLE is very whimsical as it looks like a kitty with a rooster inside its head.   COLLISION III is  very powerful...even edgy.   And, JUMP is a lovely, delicate bit of simple elegance.
