BIOGRAPHY
Essentially self-taught, Cathy’s painting has evolved from being
tight and realistic to her currently lively, contemporary style of painterly
realism. Today, her work is driven by a creative passion as well
as by her highly developed sense of color and design. Oddly enough,
a devastating fall in 1992 seems to have been the catalyst for this artistic
growth. The resultant injury made Cathy unable to continue her
medical career. She has since devoted all her energies to painting – frequently
as a way to dispel the constant pain. She began to use more vibrant
colors wither traditional fat- over-lean method of painting
.
